Play

My New Job Title

DIY

I've decided to call myself a Play Advocate. So many people ask, what is your job? And on those pesky forms we all have to fill out it asks for job title. I have randomly written silk dyer, toy maker, business owner, but none of these actually describes what I DO, what I LOVE, what is my PASSION.

Play Advocate is perfect! In fact, maybe we can all become Play Advocates, or Play Makers as the Life Is Good Foundation calls themselves. Here is a

Silkworms and Mulberry Trees

Sustainable

In early spring, thousands of families in rural China are trekking into fields to strip the last mulberry leaves from the trees. Mulberry leaves are the only leaves that silkworms will eat. The leaves must be fresh as silkworms will not drink water and the leaves supply all the moisture they need. By the end of April, silkworm trays fill homes.  The silkworms are at their largest and their appetite is truly immense.
