Playsilks provided costumes for an endless parade of heroes, mermaids, wizards and elves at our house; they also served as storyscapes for my daughter’s collection of tiny ceramic animals to act out her favorite tales.

My kids love to wrap up in them and nap. Wrap them around their bodies and do ballet. Wrap gifts up and play birthday party. They are capes and lay them our for pretend or real picnics. Our silks are them most played with items . They tie them up on sticks and fill them up with treasure. They are pretend laundry or doll swaddles or carriers . Lava around block towers .

We call them silkies and they are used most of all in play, from dressing up to puppet shows. Most creatively, my children have used them to make thrones by layering them over chairs set on top of small tables – they come up with beautiful sets and scenery for their play time this way. At kindergarten, we’ve used them as simple knot doll puppets, and as sweet porridge bubbling out of the pot during story time.

Attach to hair ties or clips to make colorful hair.
Hang some on a cloths line to run through like a car wash.
Tie a pom pom to one end and play with your cat.
There are endless ways to play with these colorful silks!

My daughter loves to pretend they’re food, stuff them down her shirt, then pretend she so full and throws them all up. Sounds gross but she loves it lol.

At our house playsilks are popular stuffed animal hammocks, pretend gift wrap, and they tie them to everything!

Let’s see.. In the past couple days we’ve used them for blindfolds, to decorate for a birthday party, as a baby toy, and my daughter currently is strutting around the house in some kind of silk “dress” she’s fashioned with clothes pins! Haha! We’d love to try using the playclips with them!

Peek-A-Boo always gets lots of giggles in our house!

My daughter likes to use the sea playsilk as water in the sink of her play kitchen. We use the Fire playsilk to make a pretend campfire. And of course they always act as a cape for her and her stuffed animals.
