Magical Headbands
A Simple Craft in Dress-Up Creation
Dress-up and imaginative play is an important part of every child's development and helps them learn creative thinking and communication skills, and adds a sense of magic and wonder to their lives! Making your own dress-up pieces is a fun way to help your children become anything they want to be. From mystical mermaids, to daring dragons, magical unicorns, and beyond! Follow along as we make a magical headband that will be sure to enchant children of many ages! Add a Magical Creature Playsilk to your handmade headband for extra creative magic!
What You'll Need:
- Ribbon or repurposed textile material (we used a Playsilk)
- Scissors
- Needle and thread
- Beads, gemstones, feathers or anything you wish to decorate with!
Steps
1. Cut strips of ribbon or fabric to your desired length and width.
2. Gather your beads, feathers, or other adornments.
3. Use your needle and thread to attach your findings. You may also use hot glue if needle work isn't your favorite.
4. When you are finished with your headband you may try it on! Tie the ends in the back or on the side.
