May's Nature Table
May Day Song
"
Here’s a branch of snowy May,
A branch the fairies gave me.
Who would like to dance today
With a branch the fairies gave me.
Dance away, dance away,
Holding high the branch of May."

MAY IN OUR part of this beautiful earth brings warmer days, bird songs, nests, and blossoming flowers all around. It is the perfect time to make flower crowns and celebrate May Day! The ancient festival of May Day blends the rituals of the Celts and the Romans, honoring what was believed to be the halfway point in the year as well as Flora, the Roman Goddess of flowers. People around the world still love to dance the Maypole weaving its colorful ribbons while singing lively May songs.
Our May Nature Table features our Sky Playsilk as a background. The table is set with our lovely Blossom Playsilk and a joyfully arranged spring bouquet of flowers is adorned with a carefully wrapped Purple Playsilk. In the center of the table, a young suitor offers a flower to a spring maiden, while a duck swims by in a nearby pond.
Annabelle is wearing a Garland in Pink.
